Pulmonary - COVID-19 pneumonitis

Caption

Patient presented with a 2-day history of worsening dyspnea and increased work of breathing. He was profoundly hypoxic at time of arrival with EMS (O2 sat 42% on 2L O2; improved to 75% upon being placed on high flow O2 @ 40 L/min). A linear probe was used to perform lung US and pictured here is zone L6 (posterior lower) that revealed thickened and irregular pleura in addition to B-lines. Findings were suggestive of clinically-suspected COVID-19 pneumonitis. Cian McDermott, Emergency Physician Dublin, Ireland @cianmcdermott
